We would love to have you link to us on your blog. We are really trying to spread the word about the fact that food storage doesn't have to be so hard! Anyone can at least get started and take it slowly. And we've already learned a lot from our readers leaving their tips as well.

By the way, I noticed you have a link to Flylady on your site. I LOVE FLYLADY!

I saw your comment (Jodi) on my blog asking about where I got my canner. I got it through a local hardware store, but I have also seen them at Wal-Mart. Or you can order online through several places I have found. One source I really like for food storage/emergency preparedness is Lehmans (they have an online store as well as catalog). Or through "All American" which is the name of the company. Or you can just do a search for all american canners. The model I use is the 921, its tall enough for 2 layers of jars while canning. I really like it over a gasket style canner, plus it essentially never wears out. I don't know it you can now, or if you are looking to learn how to can, but the best place to get information on canning times/recipes/instruction is the USDA (they have a book, or online guide) or from a local Cooperatvie Extension Service or I'm happy to help. Alicia, Thank you so much for the canner information. I am definitely going to have to research this more. I've only done regular canning of like peaches, pickles, tomatoes, etc. but I am really interested in expanding into the pressure canning so I can do a bunch more things. I love having home-canned foods for my food storage!
