It's filling (like brown rice) but not too heavy (thank you white!).
Use 1/3 c rice mix per 1c of water.
Put water in a saucepan (withOUT the rice) and bring to a boil.
Put the rice in the boiling water (no oil or salt) and put a lid on and reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
That's it. It has never failed me. Ever.

Re: How to Cook Rice (without a Rice Cooker)

Put rice in a baking dish 2 cups water to 1 cup rice(depending on the quantity you want) cover with foil and bake at 350 25-30min. Usually when we do rice in the oven we also cook chicken breasts. Put in the rice, water, soy sauce (2 T)(this is in a 9x13 pan) dehydrated onions and stir. Place chicken breasts (6) on top dollop cream of mushroom soup on each breast and what is left pour in between each breast. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 45 mins at 350. Test the rice to make sure it is cooked.

Re: How to Cook Rice (without a Rice Cooker)

No I have never tried cooking rice in the oven.
